Your personal sphere of influence:
At the Institute of Business Law (Department of Private and Commercial Law) we are looking for a University Assistant ‘prae doc’ (30h/week). As a university assistant prae doc you will complete the research team of o. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. Arthur Weilinger and take on tasks such as active participation in teaching and publication activities. The position is to be filled from 01.09.2024 and is limited to 2 years.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- Collaboration in research, in particular participation in publications/scientific articles
- Conclusion of a dissertation agreement
- Independent teaching of courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement
- Supervision and correction of examinations
- Communication with students
- Supervision of seminar papers and theses
- Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance
- Participation in the administration of the institute
This is part of your personality:
- Diploma or Master’s degree in the field of law (in particular good knowledge of Austrian private and commercial law)
- Special interest in payment services law
- Excellent command of written and spoken German
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- Very good computer skills
- Familiarity with the learning platform ‘Moodle’
- Familiarity with university processes and structures is an advantage
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Independence and reliability
