FIFA currently has a number of open positions for those hoping to go beyond the fan lines and work for the organization. And from office jobs to systems operations, there is a wide variety of roles, some of which are based in Toronto.
So, if it’s ever been your dream to be part of the FIFA team, here’s a look at what jobs they’re hiring for.
Accountant
Although some positions are open at all FIFA locations, this one is Toronto specific.

“This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accurate and timely preparation of accounts payable payments, reports and analyzing payment data,” according to FIFA.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or a similar level of education in accounting and a minimum of two or more years of work experience.
Co-ordinator, transport administration
Another Toronto specific role is a transport administration co-ordinator, who will help plan and deliver transport projects for the World Cup.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business management, sports administration, project management, event management or engineering, with a minimum of two years of experience.
Office administrator
The final Toronto specific role is for an office administrator, a key member of the FIFA 2026 office in the city.
This role will be in the office five days a week and be responsible for assisting with administrative tasks and clerical duties, scheduling appointments, handling sensitive information and more.
Those with previous experience as a receptionist, office administrator, or in a similar front desk role, are eligible for the position.
Accommodation hotel operations
Open to all host cities, including Toronto, FIFA is looking to fill its accommodation hotel operations job.
This role is “a key position within the FIFA World Cup 26 accommodation team, responsible for delivering world-class hotel operations across all host cities.”
Candidates will oversee hotel briefings and service activation, room readiness and guest preparation, arrivals, check-in and on-site co-ordination, and more.
Having a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, event management, business administration or a related field is preferred, along with three to seven years of proven experience.
Event Transport Operations
While the hotel position is an important role, so is FIFA’s event transport operations job, open in all host cities.
“This evergreen position supports the planning, co-ordination, and execution of all transport operations across host cities, stadiums, hotels, training sites, airports/FBOs, depots, and the International Broadcast Centre,” according to FIFA.
As with their other openings, candidates with a bachelor’s degree in transport management, logistics, operations, event management, hospitality, business administration, or a similar field are preferred, along with those with previous experience.
Airport operations
Across all host cities, FIFA is also on the hunt to fill its airport operations role.
Responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of daily airport operations, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in transportation management, logistics, aviation management, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
And three to five years of experience in airport transport operations, transport control centre operations and event logistics is also a must.
Broadcast operations
We move from the airport to broadcast operations, also open in all FIFA host cities including Toronto.
“The broadcast operations role is a critical part of the FIFA World Cup 26 delivery, responsible for supporting the planning, co-ordination, execution, and operational management of all broadcast operations and non-technical services at assigned stadiums across all host cities,” according to FIFA.
Those with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast operations, media production, sports management, communications, or a related field are preferred applicants.
Communications and media operations
In a similar vein, a communications and media operations role is also open in all host cities.
This candidate will be in charge of corporate communications and storytelling, media relations management, match day, stadium and on-site media co-ordination, issues, crisis, and reputation management and more.
Those with experience in media relations, corporate communications, journalism, public relations, or large-scale event communications will be considered for the role.
And a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, political science, sports management, or a related field is favoured.
Catering operations
Next up, FIFA is looking for someone to fill its catering operations role in all host cities.
This job ensures the planning, execution, and oversight of all food and beverage services with responsibilities including on-site operations and service delivery, quality control, and stakeholder engagement and communications.
Experience in large-scale catering operations, high-volume event catering, sports event operations, or hospitality management is necessary.
Plus, a bachelor’s degree in culinary management, event operations, hospitality management, business administration or a related field is also recommended.
Dressing and signage
The dressing and signage role, open to all host cities, oversees the delivery of branding, dressing, and way-finding signage across stadiums and additional non-stadium venues.
Those with experience working in large-scale sporting events, festivals, major events, or venue branding and production environments will be considered for the job.
Like their other positions, a bachelor’s degree in event operations, project management, design production, sports management or a related field is looked for applicants.
And if any of these positions sound like your dream job, applications can be submitted online, where a full list of positions can also be found.
