About the Role

The College of Business, Government and Law is seeking either a Lecturer (Academic or Clinical/Practitioner) or Senior Lecturer (Academic or Clinical/Practitioner) in Healthcare Management. In this role, you will develop career-ready and enterprising graduates who will drive improved quality patient care in health and aged care settings. As Flinders University has fostered strong partnerships with other world-class universities and organisations, you will also have the unique and enriching opportunity to undertake interstate and international travel as required to support the success of transnational education and offshore postgraduate awards in Health Administration. Your involvement in international activities will include coordinating student mobility programs and prioritising internationalisation in curricula to enhance intercultural skills in students.

As the Lecturer in Healthcare Management (Academic or Clinical/Practitioner), you will contribute to excellence in teaching with a focus on authentic experiential learning and topics including leadership, digital health, innovation and operations management in Health and Aged Care. You will also support the review, renewal and design of curricula, while developing the healthcare management profession domestically and offshore via lectures, tutorials, workshops and work integrated learning.

As the Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Management (Academic or Clinical/Practitioner), your additional responsibilities will include making a significant and innovative contribution to leadership in teaching and scholarship of teaching within the suite of Healthcare Management. Your leadership will contribute the delivery, planning and evaluation of topics, and internal and external compliance and accreditation of courses.

Both the Lecturer in Healthcare Management (Clinical/Practitioner) and the Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Management (Clinical/Practitioner) will draw upon their professional expertise and experience in clinical practice to develop industry partnerships for work integrated learning, simulation and innovative placement models.

As the Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Management (Academic or Clinical/Practitioner) you will have:

  • A Doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent clinical/professional experience and standing in relevant field.
  • Knowledge of relevant University education programs, systems, policies, legislation and accreditation processes.

As the Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Management (Clinical/Practitioner) you will have:

  • Relevant and extensive contemporary clinical/ professional experience (for career stage) in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of relevant University education programs, systems, policies, legislation and accreditation processes.
